With 18+ years of experience in the industry, he understands your unique fire protection needs.

NICET’s Rigorous Certification Process Includes:

  • Presenting records which prove a history of technical proficiency, consistency, and expertise.
  • Achievement of all four advancing levels (I, II, III, IV) in Fire Protection Engineering Technology and Fire Alarm Systems.
  • Level IV certification requires a minimum of ten years of fire detection and signaling systems experience to qualify for the examination.
  • Specialization in Fire Alarm Systems includes, but is not limited to demonstrated proficiency in overall fire alarm system design, installation, service/repair, inspection, testing, maintenance, monitoring, and NFPA Standards.

Attaining certification is a considerable achievement. Retaining it is even more essential! To remain current, certificate-holders must demonstrate Continuing Professional Development. This helps protect the public’s interests and ensures persistent professional advancement. Proof of professional growth must be documented and is allocated points according to a pre-established point scale in up to five categories. 90 CPD points of education and development must be demonstrated at the end of every three-year certification period.
